Now Complete: Mural Installation in new Frank Gehry Designed Office in Redmond, WA by J Calvert

Announced here last January, I’ve recently completed a mural at Building X, a new office building designed by Frank Gehry Partners. This mural! was Inspired by chaotic impacts of climate change and imagined new forms of landscapes that bring together the natural, virtual, and technological realms. This work is created on a 71 feet wide and 20 feet tall wall inside this stunning architectural space.

Curated by @tamarbenzi @lelebarnett and @jes.gettler — I’m forever grateful for this opportunity of a life time!

Also, many thanks to @elizabeth_gahan_art @scout_spout @overallcreative and @je._calvert

I had 14 days to execute the installation, and while i prepared extensively over the months leading up to it, the project wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing help of friends, professional muralists, art producers, and many people working together to finish the building’s construction.

SAM Gallery Presents: Hear This by J Calvert

With the artworks in Hear This, artists Perri Lynch Howard, Jasmine Novack and Kalina Winska dive into visual expressions using elements connected to an artistic message. Through visual depictions of sound waves, examinations of the underwater world, and connections to the elements of the air and water, these artists invite us to look closer and hear their unique messages.

From the depths of the sea to the air above, this collection is inspired by natural beauty of our world both seen and unseen.

Exhibit Dates: July 5 – 30, 2023 via SAM Events
